Escape offers both a challenging environment for more experienced mudders as well as a constructive learning environment for newbies.
The immortals work hard to be informative and helpful whenever possible without being overbearing or affecting game balance.
We have taken basic Smaug coding and made heavy modifications to several different aspects of it. With a unique multi-class system as well as a broad array of race/class combinations combined with a group based combat/experience system, we have tried to promote all of what we feel are the best aspects of mudding in general.

This mud has been around for a long time, and I keep coming back to it to check it out regardless of what mud I am currently playing... just because of the starting place within the Vampire manor alone. I can describe it in one word: incredible.
It's a little hard starting out, but once you get your bearings, you fall in love with this creation.
If you like Anne Rice or have always wanted to play a vampire, log on to this game and just check it out. You won't be disappointed. We also have other races and classes, but I've only played a vampire, so thus, that's all I can really talk about at this time.
My goal is to bring a solid playerbase in so this game can finally get some recognition. But, despite that, the room descriptions, mobs, and hidden secrets are so intense that it's actually possible to play this game without another single soul around, and it will keep you entertained for a good while. That's how awesome this game was built.
The skills are amazing. I'm level 11, and I can change into wolf and batform. Hide and sneak are actually worthwhile on this mud, as not everyone can see it-- including mobs.
The search command reveals hidden creatures... some that may not want to be found... hidden exits, and items.

Post a commentIn short, I've been playing Escape from Destiny for about five maybe six years now, and that should speak some for itself. It is well put together and I have to hand it to Damean and his crew for their hard work.
Every different combination of race, class and profession I've played have all been well balanced and acutely unique in feel and playability. The creativity and attention to detail is very evident from level 1 to 100. I would encourage serious, even beginner mudders to give it a try.
If I had to make a list of negatives, there would be but one; this being more players. If Escape was to fill with eager players in search of a GREAT MUD, it would certainly function even more as it was intended. I personally invite you to give it a try and experience a ***** MUD
