Darkness and Despair (DnD) is an old school MUD with a high fantasy theme and a focus on exploration and adventure.
After being lost to the sands of time for several years, DnD is back again from the dead with a vengeance. Whether you are here for the nostalgia or just want to gear up and explore the ruins you will find a large world filled with diverse areas and hidden secrets to discover.
It is originally based on the Nightmare 3.2 mudlib and has 7 core classes (cleric, druid, fighter, mage, monk, reaver, rogue) and 22 races. There are 10 advanced professions (Anti-Paladin, Assassin, Elementalist, Illusionist, Necromancer, Ninja, Psionicist, Runemaster, Paladin, Cabalist) that are unlocked by questing.

[Update July 18, 2023] - I am fixing the bugs in the mudlist and submissions system and new and updated mud listings are being processed again. I apologize for the site being down for so long. Sometimes life comes at you fast and I had to step back from TMC for awhile, I did not realize that the site hosting our dns had gone down during that time.
