I found CyberAssault back when I was in college and loved the
atmosphere of the game. There weren't many games that I saw that had
all original content or equipment like energy weapons, lightsabers,
chainguns (and saws), katanas and many more. I took a break from MUDS
in general for a few years but recently came back and started up CA
again.
The classes in CA are very nice. I could decide to be a borg and find
durable, biomechanical replacements for all my squishy, fleshy parts
(at the cost of what psionic ability I had) or I could go the other
route and embrace my burgeoning psionic talent and psychically shred
my foe's mind. You can all be a stealthy stalker or a
jack-of-all-trades mercenary, each with their own strengths and
weaknesses. Upon reaching level 30, you can choose to start over as
one of the reborn. Do it again and you can select to play one of the
two (current) advanced classes.
The zones vary from content inspired by existing sci-fi books and
movies to all original content.
The imm are friendly and value feedback on new content and critiques
on existing content.
I've also been enjoying the new quest system. New quests are being
added frequently and there's always something to do. Quest will
sometimes reward power equipment or questpoints (redeemable for
powerful equipment).
In the end, CyberAssault is a fun game that I always seem to come
back to.
Hope to see you there! -Rator
