The following review is the opinion of the review's author [Mjohlem]

So, when I first looked up The Burning Post II, I was intimidated.
It had a long-term player base, it had a lot of IC and OOC history,
and it was a radically different setting. Once I dived in, though,
it was pretty easy. This is mostly due to the relatively thorough
helpfiles and EXTREMELY friendly staff. OOC hugs are given
at random and with vigor, though not without welcome.
The system is roleplay-intense, which can be intimidating in
concept. In practice, though, I've found that all I have to
do is get the ball rolling and others will carry it on. I'm a
big fan of tabletop, and I was craving some online interaction
to replace it. This game is far better than PbP because the
coders have put a lot of love into it. The admins are very
responsive, and everyone is very helpful.
That said, if you don't play well with others, aren't
generally interested in getting to know people, or don't like
exploring new things, you might struggle to have fun here. I
really hope that you give it two days, though; try to talk to
three different people in game, and I'll bet you'll find
yourself having fun.
