I played this game back when is was DBArena2, it breaks off from the
other mud types in that it's not a mindless buildup of power, it
takes planning selection, choosing how to develop a character, skills
are trained by actually using them, races are intuitive, reflecting
the stats their better at.
Things aren't all automated, progress is slow, giving an actual
sense of accomplishment to gains. Choices and strategy are constantly
used and can make the difference in a battle. It's a far way off from
the style of, raise pl, kill, repeat.
What it doesn't have right now is a playerbase, I saw it again
recently and I used to play it a long time ago, if there were a way to
advertise it, to get some players back, it's got everything to be
great again with player interaction and roleplaying.
