The following review is the opinion of the review's author [Alyero]

Recently, Legends of Xenobia MUD was revived by its owner, Mythandor,
and I hopped on the bandwagon to re-experience a MUD I've spent
a ton of time playing. With a cast of almost original Gods this
Forgotten Realms-based MUD has a ton of features I'd never seen
before playing there.
The ability to choose to follow a God from creation.
- Players should read up on their God before
roleplaying, of course.
A player's 'favor' having more of an impact on things than
just being able to supplicate objects is also a cool feature.
For example, the higher it is the more of a bonus you will
receive, AT LEAST to your hitroll score.
The conflict between good and evil remains well intact, with
the main good religion (Mythandor's) and the main evil religion
(Necrucian's) soundly outnumbering most other faiths.
And much to my surprise, Necrucian manages to outnumber
Mythandor, tipping the scales toward the evil faiths.
This is different for me, because as a player of a few
Forgotten Realms MUDs, I can attest to the fact that almost
each and every one had a playerbase that was made up almost
entirely of good characters. It is interesting to see so
many evil characters about, and it keeps the conflict
very 'real', and very alive.
The MUD is extremely newbie friendly, and the areas that
are built (there are well over 22,000 rooms in the game
presently in use and accessible) are as such as well. Maps
are abundant to ensure that even the newest mudder is capable
of navigating to one of the many leveling areas about the
game, or to one of major cities scattered about the
HUGE overland map.
There are also a ton of races, with each race
having at least three racial abilities, and an
equally large amount of classes available for
play as well. Give them a shot if you'd like,
the entire playerbase as well as the staff is
always extremely helpful and encouraging.
Finally--if you DO manage to reach the max level,
there are at least THREE endgame areas that I know
of that encourage (and require) grouping to navigate
and to plunder. And the best part is, they are plunder-able
by ANY alignment.
Roleplay enforced and encouraged! If you've never played
a roleplaying MUD before, there are a ton of patient people
here that would be glad to teach you how.
