Black Sands is an interesting RPI MUD. When I first started there was
a small but dedicated group of players that were looking for something
different than the other RPIs out there.
This one is all original and the players are kept within one area.
Both of these are strengths to the game as the idea is well thought
out and is fleshed out in-game. Having the players only allowed in the
one and only city, Bal-Travas, keeps the small player base close-knit
and interactive.
The mood of the city is desperate as they are the last known city to
withstand the destruction of the Moran army. This is a huge plus for
the MUD as the players help each other out more than other muds where
there is not an impending sense of doom upon them.
The game, overall, is fun and unique. The downside is the player base
is small and the craft selection is very minimal.
I would say with more crafts and some more players, this RPI would be
very fun.
