I've been playing Dragon's Exodus for a long time. Sometimes I get
distracted and find myself doing something else for a few months, but
I always find myself coming back.
However, when I come back, it's not because of the 14 classes or the
ability to multi-class (which is awesome, by the way). It's not the
unique racial abilities for each of the 18 races (Halflings are the
best), either. It's not even the constant upgrades, updates and
changes that are being implemented on a weekly basis. Honestly, what
keeps me coming back over and over is the social aspect. I've known
many of these people for most of the time I've been playing. Some of
them I'm just getting to know. I consider my clanmates my friends,
and I even kind of like the players in goody-two-shoes clans like
Harmony. (Even if their characters ARE schmucks. :P) The immortals
are active and talkative, the players know one another personally and
the roleplay is pretty awesome when it's going. The social aspect of
Dragon's Exodus is something no other MUD can offer. It's unique.
Yes, a little in the 'special' way, but more in the good, fun-place-
to-hang-out way.
Whether or not you come hang out with us is up to you. I'm not going
to tell you what to do, but if you're looking for a good long-term
place to hang out and the kind of MUD you'd bring home to your mother,
I highly recommend checking it out.
