The following review is the opinion of the review's author [Dejavu] and in no way represents the opinions of this website or its staff.

Lothlorien is anything else but a newbie friendly mud. If you're
looking for a pk mud, you must spend countless hours questing, killing
the same mobs for something called glory, so you can turn it into
platinum to get some tokens to go to the slots to try to get quest
points/trains. And the purpose of this is because when you first hero
you have say 10k hp.

The hp cap is around 20k, and everyone else has this 20k plus the
full suit of qequip which basically doubles their stats. There is
little chance someone can survive or compete against the pkers here
unless you put in the time.

This mud is not about pk skill at all, its about the gear. Maybe
there might be some degree of skill involved once you get the full
suits of quest eq and have similar stats, but its a no brainer when
someone has double your stats and comes after you. There are guilds
per class, but the guards are so weak that the pkers can basically
solo them and come in your 'safe' guild hall and pk you. Plus you
can be gated to unless you're a human, so you constantly have to be
on your toes.

I didn't find the mud enjoyable at all. In other reviews it
mentioned a lot of areas. Yeah it does have a lot of areas, but the
way they do equipment they could get away with having just 10 areas.
The equipment for hero, mob eq has just basic ac across like 21 across
then only 1 stat boost. Its either 11 dr, hr, -11 saves, 110 hp. So
you have to choose do I go all out hp, and sacrifice no hr/dr. While
the qequip here which all the heroes have, have stats like 26 hr/dr
which doubles what mobs have. And you can own quest eq, but only like
3 items and it can only be weapons and rings. So even if you try to
get the eq, they will just loot it off you and make you start over. So
you have to wait weeks/months saving up like 80k quest points to buy
it all at once, and you might have a shot with a solo, but then they
will just gang you with their clans.

Overall, its very poorly designed. I'm sure the players on top love
it, but it leaves little room for the newbie. The areas have alot of
the same equipment, meaning different names, or pieces but same exact
stats. Lacks creativity and no one cares about your concerns, they
just tell you to suck it up and if don't like it leave.

So if you want to spend countless hours getting killed, saving up
your quest points, to ruin some other poor newbies day in the future,
then this is the mud for you! I feel sorry for those that enjoy this
type of a mud.
