The following review is the opinion of the review's author [Ilmater]
and in no way represents the opinions of this website or its staff.
I've been working on and building this mud since 2005, and it has
truly come a long way. It is gratifying to see that it has created
it's own community now of loyal players and staff, who are dedicated
to the game.
The game itself has grown by leaps and bounds, both with code and
content, and within the community. We are truly the closest thing
out there in my opinion to a persistent world d20 rules rpg.
Now that we have more coders on the staff I expect the mud to
continue to grow increasingly.
As for my review of the game, I give it an 8 out of 10 with the
potential to easily reach 10/10 once the featureset we have planned
is complete, which I expect to happen in 1-2 years.
The role play is good, and there are in game bonuses that are
automatically applied for role playing. The combat is decent, but
really needs a combat overhaul to a turn based system to really be an
interesting system. It works though and doesn't detract from the
game in its current form.
The world is good, but needs more zones, and more interactive
content. We're constantly working on improving what we have as well
as adding on more.
The community is very friendly and supportive and it's easy to get
help or make friends in our group.
All in all it's a superb game that D&D fans will love and others will
as well. Best for people who like a close knit community at this
point, though it is our goal to grow to a large size mud if we can
achieve it.
Thanks all for reading my review.
