The following review is the opinion of the review's author [Fraz] and in no way represents the opinions of this website or its staff.

Illusions of the Mind is a fantasy based MUD set in the land of
Tibernas. The land of Tibernas has many good races to offer like Elves
and Dwarves and exciting ones like Serdaen, Cresnar, and Orcs. It also
offers the evergreen Humans, Half Elves, and dimwitted Ogres.

It has a thrilling yet easy combat system. Lots of adrenaline. Top
that off with excellent RPing environment and you are addicted. I have
spent hours or 24 hours playing at times.

I have found Illusions of the mind to be one of the most newbie
friendly game. I have never felt lost in the land of Tibernas even
though it is big enough to accommodate 100 players easy. Unlike some
huge muds this one is easy to get around quickly.

This game gets best when you can attain an RP and PK balance with
your character. Of course RP characters are quite strong also and do
not need PK to have fun!

There are many plus points to Illusions. Many different exciting
castes like Mages, Clerics, Necromancer, Paladins, Classic Barbarians
and Thieves. And many exciting guilds/societies to accommodate
everyone's roleplay sense (actually very appetizing).

I found Gypsy (family), Sage (learners/helpers), Shadow (assassins)
and Blue Rose (Fighters of Good) to be amongst the most playable
guilds/societies. There are many fun in game quests, but the best ones
are the ones run by Immortal Staff. They are interactive and quite
popular. You will see players asking for them and logging just to play
immortal ran quest. Of course it rewards with a unique quest item,
making them sought after all the time.

It offers hours of fun exploring, killing mobs and engaging in RP
player killing. It is an easy to get in game and get started, rolling
and learning. You will find it to be very newbie friendly!
