The following review is the opinion of the review's author [Dagon]

I started MudDing some 12-13 years ago, honestly I've lost count.
I've tried countless servers and was never truly impressed until I
came across Age of Legends (AoL) I played there for several years
getting to know the admins and the players. Eventually AoL became an
Idler's Paradise. I had heard that Matrim (one of the Admins at AoL)
had created a new server and began looking into it I guess about a
year after he'd gotten it up and running. So I hopped over and
started my first character.
Six years later I have yet to find a better MuD. The ease of gameplay
and the rich environments has kept me enthralled through more
characters than I care to count and more updates and code changes than
I care to remember.
I've seen a bit of drama. That can be witnessed through the other
reviews here, though I strongly recommend you pass those up as
inconsequential. Project Bob (I'll always think of it as MatMud,
however) is an awesome example of what can be done with these simple
yet unlimited worlds. A world that is constantly expanding and
evolving into a place where new and old players alike will find it
easy to traverse. Especially with the Tutors...
Regular players that have taken the time to put aside their playtime
when a newbie is in need of assistance. Now that's not to say that
the Tutors will powerlevel you or get you items (In most cases) but
any questions you have that are voiced when an Imm is not around are
generally answered by those that are flagged as Tutors.
The help database alone would give any normal player pause... It's
nearly as expansive as the world itself. So even after six years of
playing, through the drama and the downtime, the drastic changes to
the minor things that affect the world strangely, I would gladly
recommend this MuD to ANYONE who cared to try it. The possibilities
here are endless! (And I don't mean that figuratively.)
