I'm a new builder on DBZ: Edge of Chaos. To tell the truth, I've
been building on a few MUDs lately, but for some reason, this MUD
has really called my attention.
It is definitely unique, in the sense that most DBZ muds coded on
SMAUG are all relatively the same with respect to the gain system,
as well as the way stats work.
This MUD is different, however. Characters gain more hp as they
progress and the best way to gain PL is with your max form. In most
MUDs, surpassing a 16x pl mod will decrease gains, but the system
here is different. The best gains are at the max pl mod, being the
strongest transformation. It's definitely closer to home when
comparing with the series.
This really makes things more interesting. The pace at which players
get strong is relatively fast, and the extremely large variety of
items in the MUD allows for a very enjoyable experience.
I haven't taken the initiative to create a character of my own, due
to the fact that I've been dedicating my time to building. The truth
is, I've decided to put a lot of work into this MUD, not only
because of how unique it is, but also because I find this place
extremely comfortable.
The staff is very friendly, and also very helpful. The pbase isn't
bad either. Usually I find seven to eight people online during the
evenings, which allows for some good roleplaying, as well as a
decent environment to just play and chat.
All in all, this is a great MUD. It's definitely a good choice if
you're looking for a decent place to settle for a few months, relax,
and get away from the tedious struggles of everyday life. Within the
next few weeks I plan on building some very innovative and unique
areas, and I invite everyone who loves mudding to stop by and check
it out.
