The following review is the opinion of the review's author [Kim] and in no way represents the opinions of this website or its staff.

I am a player at Crimson Nightmares and I am here to say what a great
mud it is. Crimson Nightmares brings a challenge and uniqueness that
other muds fail to provide.

Crimson Nightmares has 11 classes to choose from, a few being drow,
cyborg, dragon, and elemental. Crimson Nightmares also offers Hybrids.

It is a PK mud. The players are inviting and friendly. The staff have
kindly put in a system to limit pk abuse and harrassment.

CN has a flag system in which either quarters, halfs, doubles, or
quads come on at random. Crimson's staff has also implemented a
player command to turn on a random flag for a small fee.

This is not your average mud...it is not for the faint of heart. The
questing is one of a kind in that it requires you to become familiar
with the areas. There are 2 quest machines that jump to different
rooms. This betters the player when they become familiar with the
areas. They will be able to hunt well when players are hiding and hide
well when players are hunting them.

The statcap is currently 350,000. Exp does not come easy. You must
put hard work and effort into getting big. This allows you to earn
your character and appreciate it more. It also keeps you busy longer
to cure that boredom from other muds.

The classes are also nicely balanced! Each class has its advantages
and disadvantages. If you're looking for a mud where your stats
determine the kill instead of the class, Crimson Nightmares is for
you. Some muds have 'rigged' classes which everyone chooses to play
to assure them pk wins. On CN, you pick the class you enjoy to play.

Crimson Nightmares also has a website forum to allow more
communication between players and IMMs. The IMMs listen to players'
views and are incorporating them into what the mud will become. The
forums have opened up communication and I feel that more is being
accomplished at CN since the forum was put in place.

I've been at Crimson Nightmares for 7 years and I'm happy to still
be a part of this mud. There are no other muds like it!
