I've played ancient mist for some time now, about 5 years, and its
an easy going rp community with PK available to those who want it.
Extremely newbie friendly whether you are completely new to mudding
or just looking for a new place to play.
There is a group of selected/dedicated and knowledgeable
players/immortals (myself included) that run NH, or newbie helpers.
The tiered remort system offers 17 total classes and hour/years of
challenge.
The Rp is constant and despite others claiming only a favorable few
run it, anyone is welcome to partake in it, and many do!
True, for a newbie, the older players can be a bit intimidating with
hundreds of hours from years of playing. But that just gives you a
goal to strive for. There are other players just as new as you are or
somewhere in the middle as well.
The newbie helper system strives to help players adjust and find
their niche. Unless you find players on a truly bad day they are all
very friendly and welcoming. In my time here I’ve left but always been
drawn back to the fun regardless of why I left.
Recently we've had alot of new players join and the RP has really
been picking up both in quantity and quality. A trend I, and everyone
else on the mud, would love to see continue and will encourage to the
best of our abilities.
