I've been playing Winter Moon on and off for almost 5 years now, and
it keeps pulling me back. There are lots of things to do and more is
being added all the time. My favorites are hunting the zombies that
randomly spawn around the mud and creating equipment with the skinning
and tanning skills.
One thing I particularly like is that the immstaff listen to the
mortals and often implement things they suggest, or if they don't
they usually give a reason why not.
It's definitely a mud for people who like to level, with something
like 10000 levels total that you can get. There's also a robust pk
system which is the most fun pk I've played on any mud because of
their unique skill delay system. Instead of one skill lagging all your
commands, it only delays the skill you used. For instance, if you cast
a spell, you have to wait before casting again but can still bash or
kick or flee. In theory, you would think that the winner is the person
who spams the most skills. That's what I thought at first two, but in
practice if you use that strategy you usually end up losing. You've
got to have some kind of strategy to your attacks.
