DB:I was probably the most uniquely coded and highly entertaining
mud I've ever played on. They really deserve a higher pbase than
they currently have. The drop rate code, which is not set to
a very high number, ensures to keep the economy strong. Money is
actually worth something, as it requires luck to get the item
you are looking for to drop. The pbase is mature and amusing, I
made plenty of friends in my short stay so far.
The race system is also uniquely coded. There was like 12
races to choose from, including Saiyan, Icer, Human,
Halfbreed, Konatsu, Kanassian, and Android to name a few. The races
are extremely well balanced and if you ever have a problem, all you
need to do is send a note to the coders and they take care of it.
I only did a few quests, but they were well thought out and
definitely challenging.
The PVP system is also fantastic. With the balance between races, it
takes fighting to the next limit. Test your skills ? You can spar.
Want to take revenge ? Hunt them down, find them, let them know you
are not the be messed with.
So there you have it. DB:I Is not just a solid mud offering you
an escape and allowing you to compete to be the strongest person
in the universe, it also provides you with: A great player base,
dedicated immortals, amazing code which keeps me there, a
fantastic economy which allows any and all players to get what
they desire with enough money, fun quests (even when you are
frustrated you can't figure it out), and a sense of competition.
I don't even care for DB muds too much, but this one grabbed me
and wouldn't let me go. Anyone looking, or NOT looking for a
new mud should still try this one out. It is definitely
the best option out there for the genre.
