For the most part, this is an okay mud. HOWEVER, at least one
individual on their immortal staff is EXTREMELY pottymouthed on public
channels. There is nowhere in the character creation for this mud
that requests information as to whether the player is over 18 years
old, but the language on this mud from this imm is indeed fit for a
pornographic website.

I am VERY disappointed that an IMM on any mud would feel this type of
language is appropriate for a public channel.

I am not easily offended, but there's a time and place for
everything.

First off, don't get me wrong, I understand what you're saying.
However, I feel your comments sound too much like a knee-jerk
reaction.

You're objecting to a few lines in which certain words were used.
Since the guidelines say there should be 'absolutely no profanity' I
will not repeat them. However, as profanity goes, this was pretty
innocent. I've heard harsher words in pop songs. To say that they
were 'fit for a pornographic website' is a gross overstatement.

Now, just a few observations. First, the MUD is based on DragonBall
Z. A reasonably violent anime series. Being an adult or being mature
enough to handle adult themes is an implicit requirement.

Secondly, DBZ MUDs generally don't attract that many players, so
someone had to know of DBZ to search for such MUDs and thus was
already familiar with more adult themes than merely strong language.

Thirdly, the TMC entry clearly states there is Adult-Oriented
Violence and thus the same implicit requirement as stated in my first
point.

And finally, you had played for all of 4 hours before deciding to
delete and state this on TMC as though it's a matter of course. It's
not and you are hardly in a position to speak so 'matter of factly'
about it.

Oh, and you could've just turned off that particular channel.
