Since reading The Silmarillion, I've had a strong affinity for
Tolkien's First Age. When I became a MUSHer, I wanted to play that
out in a real-time, multi-player way through writing. Beleriand MUSH
offered me the opportunity to do just that. Cleverly described, each
room in your chosen culture is constantly under review as per the
players' desires, because the aim of the game is to ensure that
players enjoy playing there.
The staff are helpful and knowledgable, and everyone knows everyone
else so we're quite social. We dabble in a lot of different varieties
of RP, be they present day, flash forwards, flash backs, combat,
travel... you name it, we get a taste of it on a regular basis. All in
all, it's entirely safe to say that if you too share an affinity for
Tolkien' First Age and the tales it tells, you will love Beleriand.
