The following review is the opinion of the review's author [Maggie aka Tia] and in no way represents the opinions of this website or its staff.

I've been playing at AoL for nearly seven years off and on, I love
it. At times I get frustrated, but I've played other muds and gotten
equally as frustrated. Mainly due to trying to find players to
roleplay with. It seems that roleplay has gone out of style, everyone
wants to hack and slash or just chat. In AoL you can hack and slash to
your hearts content and do so with friends and in roleplay situations,
clearing out Morgion's Temple, taking on the undead of Chemosh; if
you're evil aligned there are knights and followers of good aplenty
for mobs to kill and people who don't just rely on socials to
roleplay.

Chemosh is the owner of the mud and I love him nearly all the time
-giggles- we've had our run ins and I just hate it, really really
hate it when he's right, which is nearly all the time.

One thing that I do really like is the way they handle rp screw ups
and pks, they look into it and if its screwed up, the Imms will show
up and explain why in Dragonlance that would not have happened and
give you a better understanding of that world.

The forums have great information on them and when I log in and see
Chemosh is on, I relax. I know its going to be okay, no matter what
happens, Chemosh is there and will handle any situation. Which has
been a different experience for me at other muds. The immortals at AoL
really care about the mud and the game.
