The following review is the opinion of the review's author [Lye]
and in no way represents the opinions of this website or its staff.
I've been playing Infinity for a while. Started about a week after
DB: Lore crashed (Great RP mud until it died). Anyway, as on every
other Saga mud you gain powerlevel and there's no cap. Makes it where
there's always someone stronger, thus there's always a goal to aim
for.
Anyway, I'm a huge RP'er on whatever mud I play, and this mud is no
different. The RP story line is run most of the time by competent
administration and has to do with things other than just the basics.
'Baddie comes to Earth with intent to PWN/Baddie gets Pwned' I
loathe those types of muds...
Moving along, the players are mostly polite and help newbies out. I
know with Lye I was hooked up. RPing at 1k pl and all the highbies who
RP'ed helped me out with equipment. It was great. However, as with
most muds you occassionally have morts who are just idiots. Mostly
twelve to fourteen year olds who haven't hit puberty. Cynyc...
Crymsin... *coughs* The staff deal with them as effectively as they
can, but they're still around. It's an inevitability.
As for quests and all the junk, there's alot of it. I'm not a huge
quest freak so I can't talk alot about it, save for the immy quest. I
personally like Space Wars because the spaceflight system reminds me
of a Gundam mud I use to play.
Meanwhile, overall it's a decent experience and a fun way to kill
time while you're body is broken. Or maybe it's just while my body
is broken. Others will enjoy it even when they're not broken. Tip of
the day: Don't drive under eighteen wheelers... Trust me on this one.
