The following review is the opinion of the review's author [Harabec Callanan] and in no way represents the opinions of this website or its staff.

Ah, where do I start with the gem that is AoA?
I started playing here right in the middle of
one of her golden ages, when Coruscant was being
torn apart by Imperial factions and the New
Repulic was quickly gaining ground. Even from
the start, the staff have been active and helpful
and got my character on his way.

As someone who has played every faction, including
a Force user, I can attest to the fact that the
possibilities are endless. If your character concept
is one that is bound to generate good roleplay and
benefit the experience of others, it is certain to
be approved. Don't let the character creation screen
fool you - the already endless options for
professions, races, and templates are only guidelines.
If you have a good enough idea, welcome, you're making
new ground!

The game uses Dahan's Skill System in order to decide
certain actions, including combat, and is a very
polished system that has proven itself with the test
of time. There is a full fledged space system. However,
it does not include combat - space combat is also
entirely roleplayed.

The playerbase is nothing short of awesome. There is
ALWAYS someone to roleplay with, to cause trouble
with. A player on this MUSH can log on and hop into
a scene in minutes, with little to no prior planning.
And, being this is a Star Wars MUSH, things tend to
degenerate very fast into some of the most intense,
well written combat scenes I've ever seen. The
players here can literally paint a picture in your mind.

The admins here are fair and balanced, and not in
a FOX News kind of way. They are generally very
helpful and are willing to work with playres on
their needs - however, they are not robots or slaves.
They have personalities. They're fun to interact
with. And they're some of the best roleplayers on
the MUSH, although you'll never know who their actual
characters are. :) But getting into a scene with
them is always a treat, and you always knows it leads
to the right places.

That said, the admins are very keen on watching and
rewarding the roleplayers on this MUSH who take the
time to make a scene stand out, or to add that little
special something, and are never afraid to reward for
that.

All in all, if you're looking for a top-notch MUSH to
play on this holiday season and beyond, check out AoA.
You won't regret it.

And you might even get shot at by Harabec Callanan.
