Hi there! I'm Luke, the Head RP Admin from Dragonball:Infinity. I'm
also a player however, and personally players come first in my opinion
since the MUD is nothing without them. DBI has great enviroment for a
MUD and is quite easily one of the best if not THE best spin off from
the DBS codebase. Our code is top notch, with huge leaps and bounds
away from DBS and other clones.
We have new races like Hydian, we're working on putting in skills
and such for the new ranks, the clans while mostly RP oriented for the
moment are being developed into something exciting. There are alot of
projects in development, but the basics are more or less hammered out
with tweaks happening every day (like the new android chip quests!).
The playerbase if for the most part very good, there are a couple
people who can be aggravating, but like in Monami's review, that's
common for all MUDS. People will usually help new players and get you
going in the right directions. The new newbie academy and several
beginning items and quests are designed for new players to help orient
them quicker and help them become sucessful. PL gaining is the same
basic concept from DBS with a few more tweaks to make it a little
harder (because mindlessly grinding on mobs gets to repetitive, I
think we all agree).
I think the greatest part of DBI is the Roleplaying. Of course my
opinion is biased, being the Head RP Admin, but even as a player I
enjoy it. There are so many rewards and useful items/zeni/things that
can only be aquired through RP that you almost hurt yourself not to
try it. The imms are more than willing to help you along, turning some
of the worst RP'ers into some of the best (Sauron, one of our
playerbase, is a perfect example of this -ask anyone-).
It's a good MUD, and you'll enjoy yourself if you stick around long
enough to figure it out which isn't long. Come join us!
