At first I was a little skeptical. I could hardly believe it was
true, a historically based MUSH? Sounds too good to be true.
Well when I logged on, I was shocked. After completing the chargen in
under a half hour, I was given a Lee Enfield rifle and rushed into the
Trenches. My first scene was an artillery bombardment, nothing like
cowering in a Trench while German shells shatter the landscape.
What I really enjoy about the MUSH is the speed and fluidity of
the combat. The system is so easy to master after your first battle
that you can almost dive right in after reviewing the helpfiles. No
longer do you have to worry about someone being a slow poser. Combat
poses are usually only a handful of lines that tell the other players
what you're planning to do.
I also enjoyed the lethal system. Rambo's end up dead as
the German NPC's have pretty much the same stats as the players, and,
unlike a lot of MUSH's, the bullets on Lost Generation can kill.
