The following review is the opinion of the review's author [Kleothera] and in no way represents the opinions of this website or its staff.

Dragon's Exodus in its current form may be new, but has been up and
running for some seven to eight years. It is fairly stable and has
had 25-30 players during peak hours for the last few years. The
recent slight fall in playerbase has a lot to do with us recovering
from a change in administrators. But that is as I said something
temporary. In the old incarnation we have been ranked within the top
50 of mudconnector, and will do so again.

While it is NOT a strict RP oriented, there is an attempt to ensure
roleplay. It's strength is it's ability to offer something to
everyone, RP to the RP oriented, quests for questers, and hack-n-
slash to hack-n-slashers.

Mud Theme: It's a medieval mud, but not located in any single
culture. Therefore, you will find a fair variety of themes within the
same mud. Almost all stock areas have been removed and we are working
on the rest. 200 odd areas is a LOT of exploring!

Mud Atmosphere:
It's fairly new player friendly with mudschools offering help to new
players (non-stock), a mentor programme (for players under lvl 20),
extensive help files (including a helpfind feature which allows you
to search for a helpfile if you cant find it in the normal course), a
and players who are generally willing to help. We have players who
have continued playing this game for oh 5-6 years. I personally have
stuck to this mud for some 7 years now.

Roleplay. It's NOT enforced on mudwide basis, but lots of roleplay
opportunities exist. Most centres around clans, eg. my clan has an
extensive evolving clan history based on clan roleplay scenarios.
Inter and intra-clan roleplay is a regular feature. Every now and
then there is a mudwide scenario. This time of change gives the RP
inclined an additional opportunity to participate in the formation
of the new lore and mythos of the new world.

Immortal staff. Is active. New areas added regularly. I would like
to think are fair, if fairly strict at times. We will NOT tolerate
any nonsense or rule breaking. New players would be made welcome.
If we have retained our loyal playerbase for so long in this time
of graphical muds, we have something to offer!

In terms of coded whistles and toys- it has all the stock features
of most EOS muds, ANSI, autoquests, pets and mounts, a PK system
(restricted, personal homes to players, player shops, and a host of
other things that would take too much space.

Final verdict? I came here to play for what I thought a few days, and
ended up staying for four years instead. And yes, I still play mortal
characters in this mud, so I know what I am talking about- this isn’t
just PR talk. We really do have a little of something for everyone.
What do I say, four years later I am still hooked and after trying
lots of other muds, I still keep coming back. DE is simply DE. We are
always looking for new player, especially serious roleplay oriented
ones; come and try it too? I came to visit for a few hours and stayed
for almost a decade. So might you!
