Xaos is the first MUD I have ever played. It is the ONLY MUD I play.
I have played a few others but none have came close to the greatness
that is Xaos.
There is a wide range of choices when creating your character. 20
races to choose from (more playable races that are created for a
player as a reward for AWESOME RP, not handed out like candy either
you must work hard for it). 5 base classes, 27 subclasses, and only
god knows how many skills/spells.
There are PC Dragons that are given out at times that the
administration feels is right based on a vote from the player base.
Everyone contributes to the way Xaos is through an idea spool, and
through a forum.
The Staff is awesome, they all work for free, donating their time and
creative minds to better the world. Most players have become such good
friends that they have went to a different country to visit another
player(or group of players) The staff is friendly and helpful to new
players of Xaos(or at least tries to be :P)
RP is enforced, PK is allowed (no spam deaths though, you need an RP
reason for PK) Quests come out, that are ran by the Staff, other
quests are coded into the game. Pretty much anything you can think of
Xaos has it or is in the process of creating it. -- Eternal Izulien of
