I have to first say this, When I first started on AOL it was very
hard to get the hang of things. What drew me to this mud was the fact
that I knew some people who played on it IRL and they always gave
great review so I wanted to try it out myself. It took me about a
whole two months to really start to long in every day, but since than
I haven't been able to get away from it. Reading other's reviews I
feel sorry that some have had a bad experience, though as in every
single mud there are always going to be some people that are
'bullies', the imm staff is never big enough for the ratio of the
player base, etc. Granted many many times myself I have been the
subject of the wrong end of the imms attention, though I know I did
mess up and I did deserve it. I really enjoy AOL, and when I do see a
newbie I do try my best to aid them in anyway that I can as well as
many many others.
For the most part the imms are very friendly and are very willing to
help you in any way that they can be it you are a newbie or a long,
long time player. Just keep your head up and give this mud a try, it
is very much worth it.
As for it not being newbiefriendly, I would have to disagree for the
world and the strick rp are harsh there are imms and players willing
to help you in any way possible.
