This was the first mud I tried after a nearly year and a half
mud-vacation, and I was utterly amazed. Not only is this by far the
best Star Wars MUD on the 'net, but also the most friendly. The
Roleplaying Council (RPC) is semi-immortals elected by the players
who are in charge of PR work (settling disputes, handling restores,
etc.)
The jumping timeline system allows players to play all three star
wars era (Old Republic, Civil War, New Republic). The timeline moves
to the next period based on IC actions designed and carried out by the
players.
LotJ is a roleplaying based mud, which means you don't have to
worry about getting killed after 5 seconds of being here. The
roleplaying gets pretty indepth, moreso than other MUDs.
I could go on ranting for another 15 pages about how sweet LotJ is,
but instead I have to get back to MUDDING :) I highly encourage
everyone to at least TRY LotJ. You won't regret it.
Oh, and did I mention that on a Wednesday afternoon there are 25
players and 3 immortals logged on? And that’s considered SMALL?
