Ok, here's the low-down on TSW:
If you prefer to just RolePlay, hack'n'slash, or even to slaughter
your fellow players - TSW has it all. There are currently 4 guilds
open (more can and will be opened as the playerbase increases):
Taardad Aiel, the White Tower, the Border-Guard and there's even
whisperings of an organization for those dastardly and fearsome
Darkfriends.
There are currently only 3 classes to chose during creation:
Channeler, Thief & Warrior. More than just the classic mud-
archetypes, each class comes complete with talents skills and twists
made just for the Wheel of Time theme! Warriors can become the mythic
and elusive Wolfkin, or a legendary Blademaster, along with many
other general talents found within the WoT world. Thieves, made for
assassination and stealth, are the finest instruments of Daes
Dae'mar, and what noble would let themselves be without such an
instrument? Best of all, in my humble opinion are the Channelers.
With the widest array of talents, a channeler can be nearly anything
he or she dreams. The talents available to channelers are:
Align_matrix, Cloud_dancing, Compulsion, Delving, Healing, Traveling,
Illusion, Keeping, Fortelling, Residues and even the fabled Lost
Talents of Ages long gone! Aside from the talents, channelers are
able to choose their general strength in the One Power, by allocating
various points to desired spheres. Over 50 weaves, along with special
talent-only weaves, Channelers can be just as fearsome in battle as a
feral Wolfkin or lithsome Blademaster.
Beyond the classes, are the races. Every country currently existing
within the World of WoT, is an open option, save the Sea Folk,
Malkieri, and Seanchen. Though when the time is right, such races
will become available. Each race has bonuses to stats according to
their inherent talents and beliefs.
The current timeline, is around 10+ years after the Aiel War and for
those aware of it IC'ly, Gitara Moroso has died from the strength of
her foretelling. The fortelling of the Dragon Reborn's birth upon the
slopes of Dragonmount.
Updates and fixes for the code are done daily, new ideas from the
players are put in frequently, along with new areas to add to the
already large world! The Immortals and Newbie Helpers are some of the
best around, and offer a warm smile and welcoming hand to those who
need it.
This and -SO- much more waiting to unfold, come and make your mark
upon the World. Step up and lead the White Tower as Amyrlin. Become
the Commander for the Border Guard and lead the fight against the
Blight. Join the ranks of the veiled Aiel and dance spears with your
enemies. Insinuate yourself in a place of power and swear oaths to
the Dark Lord himself, and spin your schemes to watch the Light's
forces twist in the wind.
