With having passed the movies in timeline, Age of Alliances has
entered a bit of a shakier period in it's existence. I'll admit it,
the games had it's problems like any others...disgruntled Staff
Members, Staff Members who lose most of their interest in the game,
code problems, but name me a MUSH that hasn't had those and you'd
have me jumping into that game quickly.

But I wouldn't still be there if the game has only had it's
problems. It's had alot of good things occur as well. Players have
affected the theme of the game greatly. I've heard of a few MUSHs,
though don't know them by name, where they followed the books rather
strictly, but at Age of Alliances that just hasn't happened. Some
players have managed to kill off some major feature characters,
notably Coran Horn. Mara Jade even has recently found herself on
the deceased list. Which just goes to show the opportunites that this
game holds.

I personally remember participating in scenes that lasted into the wee
hours of the morning, playing an Imperial TIE Fighter first against
incoming Rebel X-wings. When I thought I was done and ready to
dock with the mother ship, suddenly the other Imperial Vessel helping
us fired on us, spawning a plot arc that lasted for a year.

Those are the sort of things I remember most about the game. The
intriguing plots that occur, the grand battles, the double crosses in
game.

When I first started playing any games I promised myself that I would
never promote a game in the slightest, whether it was because I was
lazy or because I simply didn't think it was worth my vote, or both.
I can't say either about this game.

I've been playing this game for a little under two weeks now. I must
say that it is one of the best, if not -the- best Star Wars based
MUSH's I have ever played.

The game is very accurate as far as the Star Wars universe goes. I
personally have never seen a Star Wars game set in this timeframe with
such accuracy. Obviously there are a few things that could be argued
about, but that list is very small.

As far as the people on the server, it's amazing. After ROTJ these
people have managed to make there own story; an amazing story. Great
server, great admins.... what else could you want.

Well, it's got my vote at least. And I don't vote... if that says
anything.
