The following review is the opinion of the review's author [Mud reviewer] and in no way represents the opinions of this website or its staff.

After experiencing a wide range of interesting and sophisticated muds
out there i have found elephant mud to be competing among the very
best. As this can be viewed as just my opinion i will now proceed to
list the reasons why elephant deserves this gratitude.

It is complete with user-friendly rooms, each room being detailed and
every item that is described in the rooms overview can be 'looked at'
and investigated more accurately if they player wishes, adding a
sense of realism and complexity to the mud. This makes the rooms feel
a lot more 'alive', secrets could be held in any room and unlocked
with just a little more investigation.

The wide range of guilds and races allow for interesting and unique
combinations, especially combined with the noble multi-classing
option, you can truly create a unique player, which could just turn
out to be the best combination yet. Obviously the races come with
their own complex advantages and disadvantages.

Pking is allowed, so you won't feel restricted in that sense, but it
is controlled by a complex council system which will investigate
crimes. The council system is made up of elected players from each
of the guilds, obviously no law is perfect so it is still possible to
pull one over on council.

The statistics system offers some unique items, such as how much of
the realms you have explored, a range of alignments, encumberment
(how much your equip weighs you down), poisoning, severed limbs and
a lot more.

Quests are an essential part of the game to progress, which adds more
than just hack/slash exping, also available with deeds which can
offer special items when completed.

Events/competitions are not non-existent on this mud, a player doesn't
have to put up with the day-to-day grind. Noble competitions,
unexpected town invasions are not uncommon.

The variety of commands available to the player allow for more
freedom, including a whole array of emotes and feelings, the player
can truly express their wishes without feeling restricted.

The family and house system adds another alternative to exping, blood
lines involve an intricate and realistic taking, meaning that two
elves obviously could not have a giant as a child. Houses are like
unofficial guilds, they offer protection to any players that are
permitted to join and can contain players from any guilds. Just like
guilds, houses can wage wars, or aim to accomplish personal vendettas.

Overall elephant mud isn't done credit by the amount of players
usually online, usually around 40. It offers for very fun playing.
