I would like to introduce you to the realm of Infinite Planes.
IP is a very old and stable mud based on Circle Mud. It has some
stock zones to give new players some sense of familuarity, but over
3/4 of the zones are all original. The immortals at IP have worked
hard to create a huge selection of races, classes, spells, and
skills. IP hosts immortal run quests and has clans. Death is a daily
part of life at IP with many mobiles too large for even the largest
mortal player to kill solo. There are a total of 90 mortal levels
broken up by multiclassing. First class goes to 30 levels at which
point you are allowed to choose a new tier 1 class. Then when you get
to level 30 of your second class, you are allowed to advance to the
tier 2 class that corresponds to your second class. It makes for very
unique characters. Multiplay on IP is limited to 2 characters at a
time which is very helpful since many of the nicer items takes groups
of players to run. We have unlimited playerkilling in IP, but it
rarely happens between players. Most players stick together to kill
mobiles for experience and equipment. IP has more items and equipment
than anyone knows what to do with. On many muds, you see all the best
players with the same equipment. Not on IP, everyone chooses
different equipment based on their individual characters needs. The
extensive help files will get even the newest newbie a great start,
not to mention the imms and other players are always ready to help a
new player. If you are looking for a great place to hang out and kill
many, many hours (not to mention mobiles or other players) come on
over to IP.
