The framework for Xaos is large and capable of both the casual and
hardcore player. We have a large selection of PC races, distinct
cultures and regions, unique afflictions, crafting and enchanting
abilities and a hero empowering system to fully customize your
character.  There is an automated arena system to test your skills
in battle and an HCRP (hardcore role-playing) system that rewards
players with experience for time spent roleplaying. Xaos features a
persistent world that saves every object, whether it is in your
inventory or stashed away in secret. Player killing is an option,
but through the process of becoming a hero you are able to bind
your gear to your character so that it cannot be lost or looted.

We have two coders—Ragnar and Altair—and as such are fortunate to
have regular updates and additions. Xaos has a dedicated staff of
immortals who guide religions and factions and frequently interact
with PCs who show themselves worthy.  Builders are currently
undertaking an enormous grid working project that is refreshing
all 517 areas and will allow for some amazing abilities in the
future.

Xaos is currently experiencing a renaissance as races, classes and
the world are being refreshed. After closing its ports for two
years, we are now rebuilding a player base and welcome everyone
to join. Though we joke that Xaos will always be in Beta, the game
is a far cry from the original 35k lines of code and 5MB of RAM.
With 181K lines of code and a RAM usage of 240MB, there is 
certainly something for everyone.
