Berlin continues to shrug off the effects of the 
second world war and collapse of the wall in the 1990s. 
There are many areas of the city that are still in ruins 
and many buildings and roads are still shambles as the poor
beg on the streets. While many monuments still stand with
German pride, many people find it hard to cling to their
nationalism as the Turks and other new residents take
advantage of the poverty that continues.
    Then there was construction. With the beginning of
renovating most areas of the city came jobs and many, 
yet not all, Berliners are finding employment and a small 
place to live. The feeling of pride came back to many 
hearts even though many have no idea where the money 
came from to fund such progress. While there are still 
drugs on the streets and violence at night, hope slowly 
begins to rise in the hearts of many in the city.
    However the drugs and panic in the streets won't 
wash away all that easily. At night freaks roam the 
clubs and speak of crazy things like creatures of the 
night who wish to possess them. Of course that's just
crazy and no one believes such a thing and the more such
rumors circulate around, the more the city administrators
seek to encourage the youth to stay away from drugs.
    So naturally the meister of the city has a lot on
his hands but as progress continues the people seem more
content than they were before. Tourism, trade, the GMBH,
and an unknown source of funds keep the economy improving.
