The Eye of Heaven is in shadow. Deep within the tunnels of
an interdimensional cyst, the ancient city of the Mote teems
with the refugees and misfortunates from countless worlds.
They have been trapped by the portals that lead down into the
darkness, and their lives are commonly brief and cruelly
ended.
But not all are meant for victimhood at the hands of
slavers or savage tribesmen. Some have a spark of promise
beyond common measure, and the boldness and strength of will
to make a better life in the darkness of the Mote. Some are
trapped castaways or refugees from other worlds. Others are
natives of the Mote with an uncommon drive.
Players take the roles of these exceptional figures, each
seeking to make what life they would in the shadows of the
tunnels. Whether seeking wealth and glory in the ruins and
hidden lairs that surround the Mote, simply trying to survive
their neighbors, or even venturing to find a way to escape the
House of the Eye, their lives promise to be interesting- if
perhaps short.
Interested players can even arrange to run their own
campaigns set in the worlds that lead to the Mote. A vast
selection of classes and races are permitted for play, and
within the scope of your own campaign you're welcome to set
your own game rules. The game uses the Open Gaming License
provided by Wizards of the Coast, and we gladly invite others
to come join the fun.
