Starlane is an abstract, multi-player, network, real-time, persistent-world strategy game of intersteller empire-building and diplomacy. Starlane players take on the role of leaders of a galactic power group, issuing commands to units such as starships, bases and armies in order to achive their chosen goals; be they survial, prosperity or galactic domination. While player's orders are processed in real time and take effect immediately, Starlane was designed to be played over an extended period of time, with negotiations between players occuring through e-mail. The ideal Starlane game would involve tens (or hundreds) of players, thousands of star systems, and the kind of Byzantine diplomacy that would make Kofi Annan want to curl up and die. Starlane requires the download of a custom Java client.report listing problems | ||
