We are a text-based roleplaying game set in the futuristic world of Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek. Around 2285, the first successful use of the Genesis Device created the Genesis Planet in the Mutara sector of space. This heralded in a new era in the area of terraforming and creating thriving planets from dead or uninhabited worlds. The use of the device had some unanticipated side effects, namely in the form of a massive energy wave that tore through the sector. Planets mutated or were destroyed, trillions of lives lost or turned upside down. Fast forward to 2409, and the effects of Project Genesis have been under investigation for the past several years. Planets in need of rehabilitation have been attempting to rebuild their lives with the help of the Federation, but there are still so many more out there. The Mutara Sector was only the beginning. The wave is still out there, and the devastation it brings is almost beyond imagination. Join us and play a character as part of the UFP as a citizen, a member of Starfleet, or an independent citizen of a planet in a far off sector with or without any federation contact. Players who wish to have a sci-fi environment but not deal with any Trek stuff directly may have friends along and have a custom planet built for them. You're still be part of the Star Trek universe, but have no contact with outsiders unless you wanted to! The possibilities are endless.
