Splintered Realms is a new beginning for an older mud, 
Legend of Dracon II which was closed some years back. 
It is also the beginning of something new, taking the
40+ races, 11 classes (with 9 variations of mage plus 
a choice of wild magic or not and each deity's cleric 
is specialized) and going further. 

The world is limited to one continent now, Matierra 
but it is no small place easilly over 10,000 rooms. 
Expansions will be ongoing, including another 
continent and other areas on at least one other world 
itself. There are currently 6 hometowns, each with 
its own design and some specialized for certain races.

Splintered Realms welcomes the casual player as well 
as the avid roleplayer, though it is expected that 
everyone will put some effort to their character, a 
description, filling out a profile which can be 
detailed or just a facts sheet.

Also, one of the nice features to this codebase is 
that the player first logs in with an email address. 
Once this is done they may make new characters under
that email and need never remember more then their one
account password. The command 'skinslip' allows a 
player to change between characters without logging off.  

We hope others will give the mud a try and see how 
unique and entertaining it can be.
