In 1747 the second school of magic in America was founded in Silverdale, Pennsylvania, outside of a young Philadelphia. The school was named Scattergood school of the Magical Arts, reflecting the Quaker influence of the Eastern Pennsylvania area. Scattergood was founded by graduates of the famed Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in Scotland. The five founders of Scattergood wished to share their love of knowledge and education by assuring that magical families in the Pennsylvania area would have a safe, welcoming place for their children to learn the prestegious art of magic. The town of Silverdale is an all-wizard community about 30 miles west of Philadelphia. Located in the hills, Silverdale is far enough from Philadelphia to be considered rural, but close enough to the city to allow residents to enjoy the conveniences of the city. Silverdale was founded in 1703 by Wizards and Witches who wished to get away from Muggle settlements and practice magic away from prying eyes, motivated mostly by the International Statue of Wizarding Secrecy of 1692. Now, in the year 1950, Silverdale is home to about 1500 residents and its economy blossoms for nine months out of the year while school is in session at nearby Scattergood and students pour money into the local economy. Players take on the roles of students, staff, and townfolk in this roleplay based game. All character actions are roleplayed. We have no coded spells, levels, battles, etc.report listing problems | ||
