Rehobaom's Legacy is a ten year old mud, run by artist Gabrielle
Taylor (yes, that Taylor), and physicist Tomohiko Tanabe.  Russ Taylor
(yes, that other Taylor) continues to loiter and hit on the girls.  It
may or may not be art.  It is state-of-the-art Rom 4.1, aka Athen 1.2.

It has:


* a fire staff is 
        * a light source
        * a staff of fireballs
        * AND a weapon, ALL IN ONE ITEM!
* multi-location wear: 
        * a suit covers your whole body
        * a cestus armors your hand and forearm, AND is a weapon
        * a cloak covers your shoulders and back
* hit locations: being hit in the neck hurts!
* mobs don't have unlimited mana - just like you
* mobs heal and spell themselves up - just like you 
* the healer knows what's wrong with you, and casts what you need! 
* found your own guild, build your own house 
* death spells and vorpal swords
* forge your own armor, sew your own clothes, concoct your own pills 
* illusory servants and undead creation spells
* (hundreds of spells, really)
* seven gods; each god has its own custom classes 
* easily find common areas by tracking landmarks 
* huge, original, detailed main city with over a hundred shops 
* don't want to PK? stay in the biggest dimension, Arethuse 
* want to PK?  the dimension of Munesol allows unrestricted murder 
* rain leaves puddles; snow leaves snowdrifts

Rehobaom is beautifully written, with details and backstory that have
evolved over the past decade.  With the new, newbie friendly classes
and landmarks, there's never been a better time to try us out.

Rom 4.1 is smart dumb fun.
