I WANT TO SPEAK FROM THE HEART RIGHT NOW: I have been playing ROT/ROM muds for over 13 years. I have studied and seen so many variations of muds - muds that have been good, bad, long-lasting, short-lived, still in existence. I have allowed myself 30 minutes to learn, try, understand and get into most of the muds on here. There were many features that I thought were cool and exciting. Other places had certain snippets that would be an amazing add. For 6 years, I've tried to collect all those ideas and incorporate that into this mud that you are reading of. 30 minutes. I ask of you 30 minutes to learn, adapt, understand and experience ROT2. I have a number of months in the last two years putting thought into making the mud I want.. and I have 3 great immortals who are experienced and have the vision that I share - and they all came to me saying, "We want to help you - we love what you love and we want to make this mud big with you." This mud is special to me because it is an extension of the original ROT codebase. I played ROT muds since my beginning and I have a heartfelt appreciation for it. I also am a supporter of all ROT muds that are still in existence today. I wish all those other muds long life and goodness. I take into consideration to the players that there are great muds out there. That is why I freely advertise other people's muds on my MOTD. I want players to enjoy where they're at. With ROT2, I have served my time in playing, seeing and learning and want to have my own cake and eat it too. I have a loyal staff who bring up ideas that I have wanted or never thought of that would be a welcoming addition to the game -- and today we are in the process of doing that. However, the players' wants/ideas are foremost and we are always listening to them. 30 minutes. Our player base of 3-5 right now are happy and are enjoying the transition that we're in. I have found 2 coders who are more passionate than I am - and a builder who is knowledgeable of my vision and plans. We are a medieval/fantasy mud - We welcome those who are fans of either RP or PK. Ultimately, we welcome you and try to make the kind of mud that will make you want to come back and keep playing more. Our main focus currently is the end-game process. 30 minutes.
