The world used to be a paradise. The sages say everyone
had plenty of food, and robots that served their every need, from
cleaning to picking the fleas off of people. No one was ever sad,
as wondrous medicine kept everyone happy. Coke, Pepsi, Starbucks,
and the rest of the pantheon of gods watched over everyone, but
every person were as gods themselves. This came to an end. No one
remembers precisely how. Most agree there was a war, even though
nobody know what it was fought over, or who participated in it, but
what precisely ended it all remains a mystery. Weapons of mass
destruction? Climate changes? Massive pollution? Robot or genetically
engineered slave rebellion? Terrorists? Crazy artificial intelligence?
Invading aliens? No one knows, although it's pretty certain it
featured some really awesome explosions.
	Even so, there were survivors. Nobody knows how long ago the
apocalypse took place, but the world has begun to heal. A few cities
have even been formed, and technological progress is finally being
made once again. Why, your grandfather might remember a time when
people had to hunt with bow and arrow, but this new fangled black
powder is really the bee's knees. Even so, the world hasn't escaped
the ravages of the End yet. Pure humans are few, with a far greater
amount of mutants around, but even sentient plants and animals exist.
Artifacts from the Ancients still appear from time to time, bringing
with them wealth and prosperity or death and destruction.

Welcome to Gamma World.
	We're a new MUX based on Gamma World 4th Edition. The first
real post apocalyptic RPG to be published, inspiring many of the RPGs
and CRPGs that followed. Still, you youngsters can just think of it as
"you know, sorta like Fallout." The MUX is centered around Glowtown,
a town near the nation of Bonparr. You can play a pure human, altered
human, mutated animal or a sentient plant. Venture into the wasteland
to encounter metaphors of the dangers of technological progress,
and then shoot them for XP and domar.
