A basic overview of Earthmud's theme.
Earthmud is divided into 5 main domains which each have their own
unique atmosphere and style of playing. The four domains are:
1) PAST
2) FANTASY
3) PRESENT
4) FUTURE
5) FUN
All these domains are centered around a very small general starting
area which new characters will begin in. In this starting area you
will find a 'A Misty Room Filled with Mirrors'. From this mirror
room you can enter into the starting areas of the various domains.
Each domain has its own starting area, where you will find shops,
temples, lockers, and other essential things. Currently not all the
starting areas have been completed, but they are being worked on.
Current starting areas are the following:
1) PAST : Ramoor
2) FANTASY : Two Crowns
3) PRESENT : Greed City (not open yet)
4) FUTURE : Heart of Gold Ship
5) FUN : Toontown (not open yet)
Each domain has its own currency, guilds, areas, items, and etc.
You will find it easiest to pick one or two domains and play mostly
within the areas of those domains, but it is possible to go from
domain to domain if you wish.
The best way to become familar with earthmud is to just ask other
players and explore the starting areas. Use 'say' or 'tell' or
'help' to communicate and find out more information about our mud.
You also might want to 'tune in' to all the channels to listen in on
what's going on around the mud.
But, the most important thing is to just play and learn :)
