Unfortunately nobody can be told what Dragon Realm is,
you must be shown.

But seriously, Dragon Realm is largely hack-and-slash, but role play
is encouraged whenever possible and rewarded. It's been around for
over ten years (off and on) and for a time the code just sat dormant,
waiting. The MUD is now being rebirthed and brought up-to-date with
current technology.

A lot of the content inside the MUD is based on Dungeons & Dragons
settings and info, as well as some of the D&D novels. It's hard to
really explain what it is about Dragon Realm that makes it so fun.

One reason why Dragon Realm is as diverse as it is, is our model for
becoming a developer of the MUD. Players level by raising skills and
stats and when they reach a high enough level they can apply to
become an immortal. Once an immortal you gain access to development
tools and are tasked with the duty of coding a new area.

This model has lead to a wealth of different fun areas to explore,
like Sesame Street, the Smurf Village, a Pet Shop, Micro World, and
various other atrocities!

We're currently in a development phase of sorts because we're trying
to get old code to compile on a new platform, so you can expect to
come across the occasional bug.

But the main thing that makes Dragon Realm one of the best MUDs is
the community. There are people that have been playing Dragon Realm
consistently using the same character name for the last 10 years.
People have met in-game and ended up getting married in real life.
It's not uncommon to log into the MUD simply to chat with the people
that are online. We've sometimes been called a "glorified chat room"
because of this.

So if you want to learn more about LPC, or you're looking for a new
MUD to play on, or really just wanna hang out somewhere online, drop
