Huge World (15,000+ rooms)
Mud is fully operational

AstroMUD is a huge multiplayer text based fantasy game also know as a
Multi User Dungeon. This MUD is a virtual world described entirely in
text. It combines elements of role-playing games, hack and slash,
interactive fiction and online chat. Players can read descriptions
of rooms, objects, other players, monsters and other non-player
characters and actions performed in the virtual world.

AstroMUD was created in June 1995 by Siobahn and GK and has been
online ever since. Lots of new content has been added over the
years by the creators, a dedicated staff of Immortals, but also
by the players themselves. The whole realm is a huge world which
consists of more than 20,000 rooms, 15 different classes with
their own unique spells and skills, and many different races to
choose from. AstroMUD has a very supportive and newbie friendly
environment, active questing, custom made quests, daily quests,
unique equipment, the possibility to join one of the clans,
restricted player killing and multi classing. All these elements
combined make AstroMUD a very addictive and very enthralling
game…
