Through an act of trickery, the Technocracy
has succeeded in destroying the Council of
the Nine.

Twenty-four hours after the Deception At
Cambrige, the major Strongholds and Chantries
of the Traditions were wiped out in a
coordinated offensive, leaving the
survivors in a state of disarray and
chaos.

Those that are left hide in the shadows
and in dark alleys of the city, a
metropolis without a name where the
final push for survival and a second
chance at getting back into the fight,
will be staged.

The surviving Magi will need to beg,
borrow and steal from the Technocracy
and rely on one another with spies in
the ranks and lurking behind the veils
of Magi the Nephandi, who seek at
nothing more than to pick at what is
left to bolster their own Army of
Oblivion.

What happens next, is up to you.

A Kind of Magic is a House-Ruled, Old
World of Darkness Mage: The Ascension
game that utilizes concepts from the
Defiant comic series Dark Dominion,
the Matrix and The Cell to create a
modern gothic atmosphere worthy of
the Old World of Darkness setting.

This game utilizes a streamlined Open
Chargen system which allows you to
create a Mage in very little time and
without need of staff approvals, a
coded umbra system and a coded
'tabletop-driven' game system.

We are currently in BETA wrapping
up what is left of the code and
sorting through equipment and gear.

We are hiring storytellers only and
are looking for people to test our
setup and give us criticism so that
we may polish and refine the game
into an experience that will be fun
and entertaining for the players.

To apply, simply drop by the site
or email us at the above address.
No staff experience is required but
we may ask for examples of your rp
along with a short interview. We
hope to see you on the game!
