Nope, not keeping most people occupied. Remorting for
months on end is sort of like the rock with "To learn how
to keep an idiot busy turn this rock over." written on both
sides. It only works on morons that want to re-level the
same character 50 times and don't learn from experience.

That is completely untrue Drizzt. I personally enjoy
remorting on some systems depending on how it is
implemented. If re-leveling becomes more difficult it can
be an interesting way of challenging yourself within the
game. What if the process of leveling is a fun and exciting
thing on that particular mud? Wouldn't it then be that
doing it all over again was fun and exciting? Or maybe some
people just really enjoy that aspect of mudding in general,
character progression is my favorite part of rpgs(story
aside) and I find myself sticking around to the first few
areas fighting forever just to level a bit. =)

Ah, this is very true, I enjoy it much myself on Caerlon! Remorting comes with many many benefits on Caerlon. More damage, rewards, and better spells/skills. And once you reach max level, it doesnt stop there....You can get, Drum roll please.....Faux Levels!, Which you can spend on various rewards. Quest items are also pretty cool on Caerlon, and we recently added a campaign feature to our automated quests.
