I've been trying to get into a good RP enforced MUD but the
high population ones I've tried weren't to my liking. They
were far too complex for a newbie mudder in my opinion, and
even than I wouldn't like those MUDs most likely.
I suppose I should try a low-to-mid population roleplaying
MUD, but I don't know where to start. For settings, I'd
prefer...

-Star Wars (preferably up to date with the most recent
books/comics, or set in the days of the old republic, etc.
None set -during- the movies because those kinds of settings
never have an advancing storyline.)

-Fantasy with races like goblin, kobold, etc. Generally any
brute that would speak in broken english (or whatever the
common language in the game's lore is)

-Horror

-Any MUD that offers a religious zealot character class like
a Witch Hunter, Inquisitor, etc.

Edit: I'd also settle with a commercial mud with a good sized
population. As of now I'm looking into MegaMUD but I heard
that game has no roleplaying community.

Any game can be RP enforced, if that's what you want. It's all a matter of how flexible you are.

A high population roleplay encouraged MUD where people
actually roleplay would be nice too.
