I've figured out what Vanquish's avatar is. It's a gift horse.

I'm not sure, though. I can't see the mouth.

I've always wondered about Vanquish's avatar.
What is a "gift horse?"

"Don't look a gift horse in the mouth" is a saying. It means that when someone gives you a free horse, you should just take it, and not look in its mouth to see if there's anything wrong with it.

The Trojans, notably, would probably find serious disagreement with this statement.

Servers especially are something of which to be cautious. There are high costs involved in providing bandwidth, space, cpu time, and ram to a mud, and people giving such away often do so with the intention of stealing the mud once it's popular. Not saying that's the case here, but I've seen it happen too often to not wonder what the catch is.

You do realize this is a rather old thread, I hope? I don't mean to be rude or whatnot, it's just that you and one other person have been responding to threads extremely old. Most notably, you both responded to two threads that were both more than a year old.

Just making sure and everything....

I didn't notice how old it was when I responded, actually, since it got bumped. Since I don't get the chance to come to these forums very often, I get out of the loop a bit.
