I actually have a copy of this codebase thats been fixed to work on most recent versions of GCC, and has no warnings. If you are interested email me at the addy in my signiture (Version approved by Unifex, the original creator)

but i like the old mud, it brings back memories

anyhow .. for those interested in coming on .. i've enabled 1000x exp to build the mud base back up and get everyone maxed faster ..

trying to get everyone sped up so we can have the same fun we use too.

I like the system here but would like to see a few more areas for leveling and training. So far in my time in game I've seen a number of Botters and in general idlers trying to gain Dragon age.

This is my first jump back in PK in ages so not sure if this is just the way GWs are now but there seems to be guys feeding status to their Main characters. To say they have low status character on, make a kill then someone switches and kills them so they switch and kill that person so you have someone with 3 status who then logs off and returns to sit on his no status guy. I don't understand the concept of hiding status if the goal is to have active PK. Maybe have an account system or something that would not allow this activity?

Sorry for the long delay in response .. apparently i'm not getting notified of replies.  i need to check my settings or my junk mail.

Your point is well taken, but I have looked at this before, from a PK perspective, the players tend to have multiple classes, as soon as they have been "capped" it triggers that immediate response to retaliate.  regardless if we put an account system in place, this will continue to happen.  I don't look it as feeding each other.  But you are right, it is a PK mud, however not every player can handle getting killed training avatar again to loose what status they have.  this has always been the norm on TBW. 

I have been trying to make the mud a bit better to allow more players, but at the end of the day, sometimes PK isn't cut out for everyone especially when they are on the loosing end.  we have a handful of very strong players, and they tend to beat on the little ones.

I have made several changes to speed the process of getting class up and maxing them so the mud can focus on its intended  use .... Player Killing!!!

 [  8] Oct  2 Mazerin   XP MODS updated 50x to 100x
 [  9] Oct  2 Mazerin   1000x is also part of the auto mods
 [ 10] Oct  3 Mazerin   30 Status can be obtained through Sacrifices
 [ 11] Oct  3 Mazerin   dragon age gain has been adjusted
 [ 12] Oct  3 Mazerin   dragon damage has been adjusted
 [ 13] Oct 27 Mazerin   You can now convert exp to QP - help convert


- For Obvious reasons, i made exp easy, i dont want people botting and sitting around, i want them killing
- I allowed sacrifices to reward up to 30 status to allow more status to be obtained and circulated.
- I have create a new function to convert exp to Quest Points for those who have troubles in actually questing.
- i'm working on balancing classes, but in order to do that i need a good pbase
